How to Tithe?

PAANO MAG-TITHE?

A tithe is basically 10% of your income.

Subukan natin ito.

Nag-reseller ako kahapon ng fresh lumpia. Iyong Php50/order ay binigay niya lang sa akin ng Php45/order. Kahapon ay may 18 orders ako.

Simple Math,

(Php50* 18 orders ) - (Php45*18 orders)
is equal to Php 90. Iyan ang income ko.

Php90 * .1 (10% in decimal form)= Php9

So ANG TITHE KO ay Php 9.

Parang maliit lang sa paningin ng tao, pero ang tinitignan ng Lord ay ang puso natin at ang ating katapatan.

May iba, they can give even more than 10% of their income. Why not? I believe it is not about the amount, but our reverence and obedience to God. It is also how do we looked at God as the source of everything we have and how do we see our money as God's instrument to bless our spiritual shephers and the church and the people they serve.

🌾May references tayo na nakasulat sa Old Testament. And God's Word is not only for Israelites. It is for everybody so as His providence and blessings.

“A tenth of the produce of the land, whether grain or fruit, is the Lord’s, and is holy.”

And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's: it is holy unto the Lord.

🤔PAANO KUNG KAPOS AKO, MAGTA-TITHE PA BA AKO?

🌾Paying our tithes is one of the basic things we can do to express our love to God, whether there is law or none. Do it, and TASTE the favor of God in your life.

🌾Ang hindi pagta-tithe ay pagnanakaw sa Diyos (Malachi 3:6-12).

6 "I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’
8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings.
9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty.
12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.

🌾 Tithing was also mentioned in New Testament.

📖 Luke 11:42
"Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

🌾Paying tithes is giving out but does not mean losing out something. Minsan mahirap magbigay kapag pakiramdam mo ikaw nga ay wala o mawawalan ka, but think of this example done by the widow in Mark 12:41-44, "but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.”

😯Bakit kaya niya iyon ginawa? Paano niya nagawa? Try to analyze. I want to leave you those questions.

Mas mararamdaman natin ang kakapusan kung tayo ay di nagiging tapat sa Diyos at kung hindi ka nagtitiwala sa Diyos. Ngunit subukan mong maging MATAPANG na gawin ang BEST mo sa pagbabayad ng iyong tithe kasama ang puso mong nananampalataya at nagmamahal sa Diyos.

🌾 God will only deliver you from the bondage of poverty or kawalan ng kasapatan kung Siya lang ang magiging Diyos mo at hindi ang pera. (1 Samuel 7:3-4)

📖 Deuteronomy 8:18
But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

📖 1 Samuel 2:7
The LORD sends poverty and wealth; he humbles and he exalts.

🌾 Mature Christians pay their tithes.

Children of God are head and not tail. We are redeemed to be a royal priesthood.  Therefore, be a good steward of the money God entrusted you.

I just shared the basic principle I know, which I applied since I was in highschool.
Anuman ang pinagkatiwala sa atin ng Lord, including our money, nais ng Lord na maging TAPAT tayo sa aspect na iyan. Gusto niya tayong turuan at disiplinahin, dahil gusto niya na tayo ay maging ganap at nakalulugod sa Kanya. Just like you, patuloy akong tinuturuan ng Lord tungkol sa pagiging tapat sa lahat ng bagay.

 Pinagkatiwalaan tayo ng Lord ng buhay, at ng kakayahan na maghanap-buhay at kumita. Nagkaroon tayo ng lahat ng mayroon tayo sa PAMAMAGITAN ng Diyos at ang lahat ng iyan ay PARA din sa kaluwalhatian Niya (Colossians 1:16). ✝️💕
